A couple of weeks ago I led an internal workshop with a group of learning professionals (mainly trainers and consultants). It looked at how they might make use of RSS & blogs to support their work.
The only bit not recorded on the video was an exercise where we looked at the various answers to ASTD's Big Question last October: "Should all learning professionals have a blog?" No group conclusions were drawn but a fair few people came up afterwards with ideas of how a blog might be useful to them or their teams.
That's the thing - it's all about having a personal learning environment where you collect together your bunch of trusted information sources and experts, and also have space where you can reflect, have conversations and collaborate.
